Behind every broadcast, story, and student success at Petaluma High School and Petaluma Junior High is a strong, supportive community and that starts right here with our parents!
The Digital Media Parent Booster Club works side-by-side with the Petaluma Youth Media Network (PYMN) to make sure our Trojan and Bantam students have everything they need to shine. While PYMN manages the non-profit engine and student scholarships, our Booster Club is the heart of our parent community. We organize logistics, cheer on our creators, and drive the local fundraising initiatives that keep these incredible programs running.
How We Build Community & Drive Student Success
- Connecting Our Media Families: We host informal parent meetups, volunteer gatherings, and end-of-term celebrations where families can connect and see student work firsthand.
- Fueling Student Competitions: We raise funds to reduce travel costs for major events like the national Student Television Network (STN) convention, making sure every deserving student can attend.
- Studio & Gear Enhancements: Our targeted fundraisers directly support studio upgrades, studio hospitality for long production days, and specialized software for our student newsrooms.
- Community Events & Fundraisers: From local restaurant nights and informal pop-ups to community raffles, every dollar raised goes straight back into supporting our young storytellers.
